Tropical Storm Ernesto & Our Ill-Timed Yard Sale

We set up our two-day yard sale ad in the Richmond Times-Dispatch on Wednesday... Tropical storm Ernesto came through Virginia on Friday, giving us wind and showers all day long. And our yard sale took place this morning, bravely standing up to Mother Nature it its aftermath, hoping a little bitter, rainy weather wouldn't keep the die-hards from showing up at our yard at 7 in the morning. At 7:20, our first customer came. Here's our humble little sale. I was just hoping we'd make the money back that our ad cost us. We did. Plus a little more. We had a great time with friends, though! :)
Rob & Jessica having fun. They also helped us rake up the leaves that fell in the past 24 hours. In case you hadn't noticed, we have many large trees that shed their leaves often.

Me & Jessica.
Dave after a day of long, dirty labor, and Cindy, who takes care of Lucy for us often.
Last but not least, here's our sporty baby, ready to play in the yard while we work. What a cutie!!

In all, it was another busy, successful day. We are just 3 days away from putting the "For Sale" sign in our yard, thus beginning our home's "Big Bang Show-Off Week", as our realtor refers to it. Wish us luck!

so here's what i've been doing...
