Due to popular demand, I thought I'd post an update on Dave's job search --
It's been a roller coaster lately. Our original list of leads has dwindled down to one still active. Now our bulletin board is covered in the new round of leads. Dave continues to have good, solid phone interviews weekly, but we still haven't gotten past that stage with any church. It can be very discouraging. We have our moments of frustration, sadness, & insecurity (thoughts like, "What's wrong with us?" "Don't you want to meet us in person before you make your decision?" etc.) and then we are quickly reminded of God's faithfulness to His people, and we cling to His promises. We really have no option but to trust His plan & goodness, and we know that in a few mere months we'll be looking back and saying, "That's why it happened the way it did."
Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. I guess we're living it.
Please keep us in your prayers - the Ohio leads fell through and we are now working with possibilities in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, and Minnesota. Where will God lead us?
