Craziness doesn't even begin to describe it.

Hey friends & loved ones! I have time only for a quick update, complete with some very exciting news!

We are having another baby! The due date is July 13. We were a bit surprised at this news (I am 8 weeks along and only suspected something in the 7th week, maybe because of all our stress & traveling?) but we are thrilled as well!

We are still waiting to hear back from the Kansas church regarding the youth pastor position that Dave very much desires to have. We are hanging on (barely) to Jesus and the good graces of our generous friends & family who are giving us a bed to sleep in and a roof over our heads, as we moved out of our house 10 days ago! We are officially homeless and only available through cell phones. We will not hear final acceptance from the church until December 17. Patience, faith, etc - all of the big tenets of our faith are being put to the test as I continually remind Dave & myself that God will never leave or forsake us.

The youth workers' convention (or, "the 'Vention", as Lucy called it) in Charlotte was a great time for us (Dave especially!) I was mistaken in an earlier post that David Crowder & Chris Tomlin would be leading worship - they weren't there. We had "other" worship leaders (and smaller bands doing the concerts, the only one I was a fan of was Leigh Nash, who had a cool, coffeehouse vibe as she is going solo with her career), prompting me to joke that this was the "Ghetto-vention" - please take that joke lightly. After 3 years of Crowder & Tomlin, let me tell you, they leave big shoes to fill when it comes to rockin the house with worship. It was a good weekend, though, and we thoroughly enjoyed talks by Tony Campolo, Phil Vischer (creator of Veggie Tales), and Mark Oestricher (pres of Youth Specialties).

Lucy is doing great! She seems to finally have shaken off her first cold and she'll be 10 months old this Sunday! Please pray for her (and us, of course) as she endures many transitions and much transience as we move from home to home and city to city.

More pics & stories to come in future weeks.

so here's what i've been doing...
