It's been a busy week or two for Dave. After receiving his latest "no" from the San Antonio church, he continues to get back on the horse and try, try again. In the past 7 days, he's gone to eight job interviews, and he has two more scheduled for next week. These are all local, and they're not all youth ministry related. But there is one major standout that he's getting really excited about (we both are). It's a church south of Richmond in Colonial Heights, VA. His initial interview with the pastor, the search committee, and several parents went extremely well. Dave came home that night with the adrenaline racing. He said, "I want this job!!" with more excitement and assurance than I've seen yet in this process. So, as usual, we're praying for God to provide and trying to keep our hopes at a reasonable level. But we ask you to pray with us because we know that prayer is a powerful thing. Please pray specifically for this church opening. We spent some time driving around the community yesterday and could easily see ourselves fitting right in and making a long-term home there.
