It's been a crazy couple of weeks for Dave & me. He has been working full time AND doing job hunting on the side, which takes up most of his free time. Dave had a couple more phone interviews this week (for churches in Virginia and Pennsylvania), a promising one last week (Minnesota), and another lined up for next week (Minnesota again). We are still interested in the Ohio church I mentioned before.
We met with our realtor on Monday to discuss what needs to be in the works for selling our home, and a timeframe. In order to close on our house in time to move in November, we'd have to put her up on the market around Labor Day. Yikes! That's 2 weeks away! We have a to-do list a mile long. Crazy thing is, all of it has to be done before Labor Day, which happens to be Dave's last days full-time at his current job. The day he becomes available is also the day we put our house up for sale. So, I have to find sitters for Lucy so I can do the house related chores and early packing. We have to secure a storage facility so we can store our unnecessary belongings for "staging" the house. We have to repaint the house! (Scheduled for after church this Sunday). And the list goes on and on.
In the meantime, I have my occasional stress-outs about where God is leading us. Which church is the right fit for Dave & us, and vice versa? There are a few churches that sought out Dave after seeing his background, and we're not sure if they're for us.
This is the ultimate in stepping out in faith. Please keep us in your prayers. Also, on top of everything else, Dave is preparing his final sermon for CCC to be presented this Sunday.
Thanks for praying!
Dawn (for Dave & Lucy)
