In other news, I have determined that Frosted Mini-Wheats "Strawberry Delight" is indeed a delightful cereal. I recently received an email from Jenny in San Antonio, my best friend, who has been settling into her new home with Jake & their son Joaquin! It's always a happy day to hear from Jenny (and if you're reading this, Jen, I'll email back soon!) Speaking of Joaquins, my new favorite actor Joaquin Phoenix (he of Walk the Line, The Village, and Signs fame-> my three favorite movie roles of his) will be filming a new movie with my other favorite actor of 2006, Mark Ruffalo. Two of my favorites in one flick! I just hope I it's a movie I can handle; they've both done movies I haven't seen for various reasons (violence, etc). More great news: we finally found someone in a store who actually knows what they do with old boxes - thanks to Dawn (great name!) of Food Lion on Staples Mill Road, we went home with about 40 boxes of varying sizes. Yes, this is the Food Lion where our favorite Tom Petty lookalike used to work. Has anyone heard the new Tom Petty cd? I hear it's pretty great. And one final shout-out: Great job Conan O'Brien hosting the Emmys on Sunday evening! Dave and I had it on whilst we gave each other foot massages, and he hit a home run in our book!
