Book Tag

1.One book that changed my life: Speaking of Jesus (J. Mack Stiles) and What's So Amazing About Grace? (Philip Yancey)... more recently, Blue Like Jazz (Donald Miller)

2.One book I have read more than once: Memoirs of a Geisha (Arthur Golden)

3. One book I would want on a desert island: The Sacred Romance (Brent Curtis/John Eldredge)

4. One book that I tried to read but never finished for one reason or another: The Jesus I Never Knew (Yancey) and The Brothers Karamazov (Dostoevsky)

5. One book that made me cry: My Name is Asher Lev (Chaim Potok)

6. One book I wish I had written: Blue Like Jazz (Miller)

7. One book I wish had never been written: anything by Nathanial Hawthorne (sorry, Hawthorne lovers! His books made me miserable in high school)

8. A classic that I love: Ethan Frome (Edith Wharton)

9. Longest book I've ever read: The Lord of the Rings trilogy (Tolkien)

11. One book I would like to see made into a movie: Fifteen (Beverly Cleary), my all-time favorite book growing up, but only if it held true to the time period & tone (fifties, innocence, old fashioned dating rituals) - what a fun movie it would be for girls!

12. My current favorite: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (Betty Smith)

13. One young adult book I always recommend: anything by Roald Dahl and the Emily books by L.M. Montgomery

14. Genre I tend to ignore: sci-fi
