* the new opportunity to go to German Valley, Illinois to meet with Silver Creek Reformed Church about a youth minister position there! They called Dave yesterday inviting us to travel out there in two weeks to meet with the search committee, check out the area, and attend their Sunday service. What great news! German Valley is a small town about two hours west of Chicago, close to cities like Freeport & Rockford (as in the "Rockford Peaches", for all you League of Their Own fans).
* the fall weather we are experiencing in Richmond - clear, sunny, 60 degrees - perfect for going to the annual Harvest Festival at Crump Park! This is one of our family's favorite Richmond traditions.
