It's been a crazy time for our family, but Dave and I have been trying to focus on things we are grateful for in our lives. We try to list a few things daily in our family's "gratitude" notebook. I remember Dave Henke saying at an IVCF retreat a decade ago that if we focus on what we're thankful for, we'll complain less. So there ya have it. Here are some things I am thankful for right now:
* Matt, Gina, & Matthew got to visit us recently, and it was a really fun time, despite the rain.
* We are heading out to Beloit, Kansas for our interview weekend with First Christian Church, and we are really excited about it.
* We get to see my parents and Adam & Melissa and celebrate Thanksgiving.
* I attended a wonderful Bible study this morning on James ch. 1, hosted by my dear sister in Christ, Sue. Alyson was there, too. I was encouraged and convicted by this passage as it seemed to apply so closely with what Dave & I have been going through in this 3+ month-long transition.
* I got to rock Lucy to sleep before her nap this afternoon, which is a treat because she normally doesn't like to be rocked.
Please keep us in your prayers this coming weekend as we travel and do lots of stuff... we'll keep you posted for sure! Thanks a bunch!
