Visiting my fam was great after the heavy weekend in Beloit. Here are some of our highlights:We went with my parents to Nebraska Furniture Mart, this really cool Best Buy-slash-Ikea with a Quizno's and See's Candy inside. The running gag was to ask as many employees as possible if they were open on Thanksgiving (bravo, Dave & Daddio for fearlessly playing this game) - and yes, it was closed, in case you were wondering. According to their website, "NFM is generally closed on major holidays".
We had two poker nights, fun fun! Lucy was my dad's little helper.
Lucy discovered with unbridled glee the boingy-thingy on the wall and played with it constantly. It amused us all. She also learned how to climb a couple of stairs.
Visiting with Adam & Melissa was fun too! Thanks Adam for making the yummy chocolate pie, which I dubbed, "Adam's Little Slice 'O Heaven".
